Point your phone at the coop, take up to three photos, and get a number. Chicken Counter tells you whether everyone made it in — without an account, a signal, or a subscription.
How it works
Tell the app how many birds you keep. That number is the whole point of comparison — everything else is in service of it.
One angle rarely shows every bird. Shoot the coop from two or three positions and the app merges what it finds across the set instead of trusting a single frame.
You see the number, the birds it found outlined in the photo, and a plain answer: all present, or somebody's missing. Adjust the count by hand if it got one wrong.
Every check is saved on the phone, grouped by day, so you can look back at the evening a bird went missing and see the photo you took.
What it doesn't do
The detection model is bundled inside the app and runs on the device. Photos are never uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload them to — no server, no account system, nothing to sign up for. Read the full privacy policy.
Where things stand
Chicken Counter is being built and tested against real flocks. It isn't on the App Store, there's no waiting list, and this page won't ask you for anything.
